UV TRANSILLUMINATOR

 

Hoefer offers UV and UV-Visible Transilluminators for viewing and documenting gels and autoradiograms.

The MacroVue UV transilluminators, UV-20 and UV-25 come in two sizes (20 x 20 cm, 21 x 25 cm) and have a High/Low intensity switch. At the surface the average intensity is 9,000 µW/cm² in the high intensity mode and about 7,000 µW/cm² in the low intensity mode. Use the high setting for analytical documentation work; the low setting reduces chances of photonicking or photobleaching gel samples during prep work.

The MacroVue UV-Visible Transilluminator UVIS-20 is a convenient combination 302 nm midrange UV and visible light transilluminator. Each filter is 20 x 20 cm. Switching from one side to the other is as simple as pushing a button. Shortwave tubes are available to change from 302 to 254 nm illumination.
