QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Assays combine branched-DNA (bDNA) signal amplification technology and xMAP®multi-analyte profiling - beads to enable simultaneous quantification of multiple RNA targets directly from cultured cells, whole blood, or fresh, frozen or formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue.

About xMAP Technology

Luminex’s xMAP technology is built on proven, existing technology that have been combined in a unique way. Featuring a flexible, open-architecture design, xMAP technology can be configured to perform a wide variety of bioassays quickly, cost-effectively and accurately.
 

 
The Luminex reader combines two lasers, fluidics, and real-time digital signal processing to distinguish up to 100 different sets of color-coded polystyrene beads, each bearing a different assay. The Luminex reader is an essential tool that performs the key functions of this multiplex technology.
 
Luminex uses proprietary techniques to internally color-code microspheres with two fluorescent dyes. Through precise concentrations of these dyes, 100 distinctly colored bead sets can be created, each of which can be coated with a reagent specific to a particular bioassay. Reagents may include antigens, antibodies, oligonucleotides, enzyme substrates, or receptors.
 

 
An analyte from a test sample is captured by the bead, a reporter molecule, labeled with a different fluorescent dye, is introduced to complete the reaction on the surface of each microsphere.
 
The microspheres pass rapidly through a laser, which excites the internal dyes marking the microsphere set. A second laser excites the fluorescent dye on the reporter molecule.
 
High-speed digital-signal processors identify each individual microsphere and quantify the result of its bioassay, based on fluorescent reporter signals.

The QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Reagent System is composed of several modules, each sold separately, depending on sample type of interest. Each of the modules is sold in multiple sizes. The table below is a guideline for the required modules based on the sample type of interest. Click on the table headers to get additional details and ordering details for those modules.
 
 

 
 
QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Evaluation Kits (Magnetic Beads)
 
The QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Evaluation Kits enables new users to evaluate the QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Reagent System's sensitivity, simple assay workflow and the assay's high precision, accuracy and robustness.
The evaluation package contains all the necessary materials and reagents for running 3/4-plate of a 10-plex assay (72 wells). The 10-plex panel can contain up to 2 new targets at no additional cost. The remainder of the targets must be selected from our QGP Plex Set catalog.
  
Evaluation Kits are available in a standard format that contain Filter Plates for use with a vacuum filtration system or a Magnetic Separation format that contain Magnetic Separation Plates for use with magnetic plate washers. For details on the contents of the Evaluation Kits, please view the Product Inserts located on the Literature/Support tab.

QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Assay Kits
 
QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Assay Kits contain all the reagents required to perform QuantiGene Plex 2.0 assay using the QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Reagent System.
Assay Kits are available in a standard format that contain Filter Plates for use with a vacuum filtration system or a Magnetic Separation format that contain Magnetic Separation Plates for use with magnetic plate washers.
The 1- and 3-plate Assay Kits are configured for lower throughput applications and sufficient components are supplied to run half plate protocols. The 10-plate Assay Kits are configured for higher throughput users that run full plate protocols and requires the use of a plate heat sealer.
 
QuantiGene 2.0 Sample Processing Kits
 
Panomics' Sample Processing Kits are designed for a variety of sample types and contain the reagents and instructions for the preparation of samples for use in QuantiGene 2.0 and QuantiGene Plex 2.0 assays. The kits are available in multiple sizes. No additional reagents are required if working with Purified RNA samples.
 
QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Plex Sets
 
QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Plex Sets (Magnetic Bead) contain two components, a target-specific 2.0 Probe Set and 2.0 Mag Capture Beads, which are premixed and ready to use with a QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Assay Kit. Greater than five-hundred 2.0 Plex Sets have been validated and are available as 3-36 plexes. 2.0 Plex Sets are available in 3-sizes, 1-, 3- and 10-plate.
 
There are several ways to order 2.0 Plex Sets:
 
1. Select from our existing Catalog 2.0 Plex Set, specify the entire panel of targets or any subset of targets from that panel, your panel will be delivered in ~1 week.

2.
Specify your own gene panel from the list of available QuantiGene Plex 2.0 Targets, your panel will be delivered in ~1 week.

3.
Specify your own gene panel of completely new targets or a combination of existing.
