QuantiGene 2.0 Assay
* Sensitivity comparable to real time PCR, limit of detection ≤ 200 transcripts/assay well RNA quantitation directly from cultured cell or whole blood lysates or fresh, frozen or formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue homogenates.
· No RNA purification
· No reverse transcription
· No target amplification
* DNA quantitation (copy number variation) directly from transgenic animal tissues
* Simple assay workflow
Application:
RNAi gene silencing analysis
Archival FFPE tissues and Blood
Biomarkers, Splice Variants and Translocations quantification
Primary & Secondary Compound and Toxicology screening
Reagent System Components:
How it works:
The QuantiGene 2.0 Reagent System is composed of several modules, each sold separately, depending on sample type of interest. Each of the modules is sold in a multiple sizes. The table below is a guideline for the required modules based on the sample type of interest.
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kits
The QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit enables new users to evaluate the QuantiGene 2.0 Reagent System's sensitivity, simple assay workflow and the assay's high precision, accuracy and robustness.
The evaluation package contains all the necessary materials and reagents for 192 QuantiGene 2.0 assays (two 96-well plates), including QuantiGene 2.0 Probe Sets for a customer-specified target and housekeeping gene.
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit for Cultured Cell Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit for Animal Tissue Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit for Purified RNA Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit for FFPE Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Evaluation Kit for Blood Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Proficiency Kit - FFPE Samples
QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Kits
QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Kits contain all the reagents required to perform QuantiGene 2.0 assays using the QuantiGene 2.0 Reagent System.
QuantiGene 2.0 Sample Processing Kits
Panomics' Sample Processing Kits are designed for a variety of sample types and contain the reagents and instructions for the preparation of samples for use in QuantiGene 2.0 and QuantiGene Plex 2.0 assays.
The kits are available in multiple sizes. No additional reagents are required if working with Purified RNA samples.
QuantiGene 2.0 Sample Assessment Kit
Tissues are heterogeneous and the RNA quality of samples may vary, especially for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples. Therefore, we provide QuantiGene 2.0 Sample Assessment Kits to evaluate relative cell number and RNA quality of animal tissue homogenates prepared according to Panomics' QuantiGene Sample Processing Kits.
The kit contains 2.0 Probe Sets, sample diluent and instructions for running QuantiGene 2.0 assays to assess relative cell number and RNA quality of tissue homogenates derived from fresh, frozen or FFPE animal tissues, and is to be used in conjunction with QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Kits.
QuantiGene 2.0 Housekeeping Gene Panels
A housekeeping gene is a gene whose expression is invariant in all tissues and under all experimental conditions. For improved analytical outcomes, use a panel of housekeeping genes to:
· Verify the performance of individual housekeeping genes in your sample and experimental system of interest
· normalize gene expression data using the geometric mean of signals from multiple housekeeping RNAs.
The Housekeeping Panels are available in multiple sizes for human, mouse or rat species only.
Select 3 or 5 targets from the following list of common housekeeping genes:
18S, 28S, ACTB, B2M, G6PD, GAPDH, GUSB, HMBS, HPRT1, MTATP6, PPIA, PPIB, POLR2A, RPL13A, RPL19, RPL32, RPS20, RPS29, TBP, TFRC, UBC.

QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Controls Kit
The QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Controls Kit provides users ready-to-use controls for use with QuantiGene 2.0 Assay Kits. These assay controls are ideal for new users to assess the proficiency of running the QuantiGene 2.0 assay and for users that want to monitor day-to-day assay performance using the same samples.
The kit contains 2 assay controls, one to assess assay background and the other to generate a positive assay signal. Each kit contains volumes sufficient to run 10 well of each assay control.
